Thank you very much for the very enjoyable stay on the night of our first stay. Its staff are friendly efficient and very efficient. The units are brand-new, great-sized. They have a main bar.

The weekend break was booked as a special birthday present and the facilities and staff were excellent and helpful. I was very impressed and would definately recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in this location.
The computer system had a hiccup and although 2 nights had been booked online, the hotel had only 1 night on their system. Fortunately I could access the email as proof. This was stressful for the first night, until I located the email though.

Fine Grounds and Really good Service
I recently celebrated my wife's 40th birthday at this beautiful hotel, and it was so nice. The fine historic architecture and lush gardens provided a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for leisurely walks. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of options, and the staff were attentive, we felt special throughout our stay. The only issue we encountered was the limited availability of spa treatments, as they were fully booked .

We liked the relaxed atmosphere from the staff, the location and the grounds the hotel is situated in. It was a personal journey for me as I was returning to the place I stayed in 40 yrs ago. My gran was head cook for Sir Alfred Owen at the time . I used to go and stay in what is now the Tapestry room. I met Lady Owen several times and walked the dogs with her. It was great to revisit and see how things have changed. It was my first visit since 1970s

Explored the fine grounds and the enchanting manor, which dates back to the 13th century. The outside tennis court was a hit too! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were really friendly. Just a tip , watch for minor issues during check-in.

Given wrong room to start it was a downgrade! Complained and waited half an hour for duty manager to arrive. he couldn't offer the room we booked as all were full. had to settle for downgraded room BUT the hotel paid for dinner as compensation. Staff too young and inexperienced which is a shame as the hotel has a nice ambiance

I was part of a party of 6 and the fact that we were given a separate, very attractive dining room just for us made the stay more memorable. It is an interesting historic building set in beautiful grounds.
The only thing I did not like was that when I arrived after a long journey, Reception had no record of my reservation. Fortunately I had a print out of my reservation. Though the problem was handled well by the person on reception and a room was eventually found for me, it was not the welcome I was hoping for.

First impression, the building is incredibly impressive, the grounds are beautiful. The staff are polite, pleasant, and professional, obviously communication features high on the staff development programme. The whole front of the House Team are a great asset to the Management Team. We stayed there pre and post a family wedding celebration. The food for the wedding was superb, as were the breakfasts. However, the food in the Terrace restaurant left a lot to be desired.
There are major house keeping issues, which you would not expect to encounter in hotels charging significant amounts for an overnight stay, all of which have been fed back to the hotel, I await their response. The restaurant food left a lot to be desired, as did the quality of the wine, not to mention the extortionate prices charged for all drinks. Providing the hotel addressed their housekeeping issues, along with the quality of the food in the restaurant, and the drinks prices etc, I would recommend as it is a beautiful setting, and could be a very relaxing break
